Good Old Stephen Grover — not only did he veto veterans’ pensions, he also married his young ward (a slip of a girl of 18 summers), he had secret cancer surgery, removing a goodly hunk of his jaw, and finished his time in the White House by fathering a child who would give the world a name for one of the most popular candy bars of the early 20th century (the one not named for a certain Yankee slugger).
You never disappoint. Thank you for causing me to learn about a chapter in our history I had never heard of. I found a fascinating paper on the topic here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=14&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjUg_uW-PreAhVOnq0KHYNvBt0QFjANegQIYBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jstor.org%2Fstable%2Fpdf%2F1886098.pdf&usg=AOvVaw3yqs__ABmMUnmypgaZONLg

Cleveland had jaw cancer. He had secret surgery on a navy ship where he had a prosthetic jaw (upper) added.
