So when are we going to hear about “the system or even the universe being misogynistic because Dean got the lead and Hear has to compete with three girls, one of which is her best friend”?

Mayzie was one of my favorite Seuss characters growing up. I hope Heart wins the part.

That is one reason I did Drama in high school, lots of cute girls were in to it and not many guys. It gave me an edge.

Community opera/operetta companies have one requirement for tenors – are they breathing?

She really is a little drama queen, isn’t she.

Wanna make a bet that the person who gets the part is that snarky eighth grader who locked up Heart, Kat and Dean in the attic? Or, better yet, Heart gets the part and the snarky eighth grader is the understudy. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

Like reincarnation – you audition and practice over and over, yet you keep getting lousy parts…

I always laugh at the idea that Kat is Heart’s best friend. We’ve seen so little of her compared to Dean that it’s ridiculous. And since Heart x Dean went nowhere, Dean is obviously her best friend.

No one in real life would say “one just happens to be my best friend, Kat!”. So unnatural sounding. They would probably say, “one of them is my best friend!”. I’m not perfect with dialogue writing myself, but I’ve been trying to pay attention to it more so this stands out to me.
