Ted, what do you think the Democrats’ priorities should be?

Still seats undecided, but it’s never too early for friendly fire. Hey Ted, moving programs along requires cooperation of the other chamber and the Executive. Think that’s Pelosi’s fault? Investigations they can do on their own. You are smart enough to know that. But maybe you’ve been bought.

Well, Ted, you obviously know this, but the road to impeachment runs right through trump’s tax returns as well as the Mueller investigation. You’re damn right I want the investigations!! I want the criminals out of the White House. Then we can deal with cleaning up their mess.

The House SHOULD be investigating trump’s criminal and unconstitutional activities at the same time they pass sensible legislation that’s sure to be blocked by the regressives. This investigatory activity is part of THEIR constitutional obligations. They swore an oath (or will swear) the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution, and investigation of trump’s taxes is a good place to focus.

The recent midterm elections is the first step in climbing out of the hole trump and the regressives have dug for the country. First, you have to stop digging the hole deeper. That’s part of the tax return thing. I have professional knowledge that trump is unbankable by money center banks. Of course is is, he’s unreliable, a serial liar AND DOESN’T PAY HIS DEBTS. So he turned to the Russians for financing. Donny junior admitted this.

Do you think those loans and shady real estate deals came for free? Of course not. Putin and his oligarchs are extracting their pound of flesh right now. The tax returns will shed light on just how compromised he is. As well as showing him to be far less wealthy than he has claimed, which is likely the real reason he doesn’t want to release his returns.

So, no, Ted, I don’t buy this argument. The tax returns will be subpoenaed. As they should be. Progressive legislation should also be passed to address the issues you point out. But I think the House should deal with both.

“Low IQ Maxine Waters” will have access to crooked liar Mr. Trump’s phony tax returns.

Perhaps he will end up in prison.

The whole cartoon is full of false dichotomies. It’s just another excuse to bash the wing of the Democratic party that Rall does not support, but I fail to see how anything can get through without garnering support from a spectrum of opinions, including the more central as well as the progressive reps. They are all representing constituents across the nation who all have varying views of what should be done and how it can be done.

The legislative branch of the federal government does not focus on one item at a time. All of these issues need to be addressed. But, the investigation of the treason and various illegal activities of the Trump administration and the Trump family need to be settled. Otherwise, it is like beginning radiation and chemo before doing the surgery to cut out the cancer that is, if not causing the other problems, at least not doing anything to improve upon them.

Despite Mr. Rall’s obvious sarcasm (which he is really, really good at) all those items that he mentioned really are some of the things that the US and the States and Territories should have some focus on. There are certainly others, and I know Mr. Trump has irritated me with them all over the years. I do keep reading his stuff.Somebody has to keep track of the destination. We can’t have everybody focused only on the next intersection of the journey. Or, worse yet: the last two or three wrong turns that we made.

I suppose its impossible to care about all of those things AND that the President is cheating the American People on his tax returns? Another false zero-sum game from Rall. Perhaps we should ignore his crooked finances in order to advance a progressive agenda.

Ted, you stated recently that it was time for some ball-busting JFK, LBJ type hardball. Remember what happened to Judge Garland? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Don’t just play hardball, pitch like Pedro Martinez. As far as ‘legitimate’ political strategy, wcorvi states it above very well. The end game is 2020, but even after then the packed courts will give progressives problems for years after then. BTW, like all bullies, Trump will have a s—tfit when he can’t get his way and find a face saving way to give up and quit. Watch the big baby resign for health reasons before 2020

Ted, how disingenuous and lame to say the tax returns are the Democrats only, or most important, priority. Get some freaking perspective. I understand that political cartoons work in part by exaggeration, but this is just lazy. I used to really enjoy your “mirror up to Dem’s faces” style, but you have just gone overboard these past couple of months. Jeez.

It was probably a Republican who said they can only work on one thing at a time. Maybe even Mitch McConnell himself.

Please read this commentary by Donna Edwards, a former House representative from Maryland about Nancy Pelosi. Do remember that Edwards is a progressive but a progressive who has served with Pelosi. If anyone, she would have reason to oppose Pelosi, but the case she makes for supporting her is strong and based on reality, not ideology but rather on achieving the aims most of us want with someone who has a proven record of accomplishment.

Don’t blow it, Democrats. There’s only one choice to be the next speaker.

Yes Ted, Trump’s tax returns are important in documenting that PotUS is beholden to an enemy power. Despite this nation’s often questionable policies, it’s important we not be a vassal state.
