Republicans, Trump and the NRA domestic terrorist organization — who all seek to make access to BULLETS easier but access to BALLOTS more difficult — who are willing to sacrifice the murdered bodies of school children, bar patrons, nightclub goers, moviegoers, concert goers, churchgoers on the blood-stained altar of corporate profits for the gun manufacturers who support them. have blood on their hands.

Enough was enough after Columbine, more than 20 years ago. It is long-past time for action instead of worthless “thoughts and prayers” that the death mongers offer as a substitute for solving the problem.

Trump logic: all or nothing. If you are against gun violence, you want to take guns away from everybody including law-abiding citizens.

It’s like if you are not ultra-conservative, you are ultra-liberal and if you want immigration reform you want open borders and if you have religious tolerance for Muslims you are a terrorist. I still haven’t figured out what kind of a threat gay people are supposed to pose, but if you are not anti-gay then your are gay and that, somehow, is a bad thing.

Hey, it got the ReTrumplicans out to vote this Tuesday. Ignorance, fear and hate are better motivators than critical thinking.

It’s the “New Normal.” It’s all part of Making America Great Again. We need an armed citizenry to protect us from Mexicans, Muslims and Gays. If those (we can’t call them people, that would make them human so let’s call them “a Mob”) take over then they will treat white folk the way white folk treat them. We can’t have that. White male supremacy must be preserved. MAGA.

The only real constant is change and America is and has changed over its history and will continue to change if we are to survive. Wealth and power changed hands after the American Revolution, after the industrial revolution, when slavery ended, and at many other times and circumstances. Diversity is changing demographics around the world and those that ride the wave will prosper while those that try to oppose it will wither. There was a time when the US was the respected world leader in social change, now we are admired for our wealth, but that too could easily change.

As I’ve said before if you try to hold onto something too tightly you will lose everything. The Trumpublicans can keep bucking the calls for gun control all you want, but eventually if they fail to accept reasonable, sensible gun control they will find that all civilian guns will be outlawed. And I don’t want to hear about the 2nd amendment bulls**t, because an amendment can be passed to remove it. It won’t happen soon, but it will happen, and I’d say this woman is ready for it.

And republicans want all of these things for Americans – and to protect the 1% from these things.

Sad but increasingly true commentary. It’s getting to be so common we are becoming numb to the horrific impact of these events. So much that they can be included with the news, weather, traffic and the daily insensitive tweet.

Thank you veterans. It takes more than some rain to keep me from saying that.

Well, since Jeff is behind, I’d like to comment on Trumps tribute to our veterans.

Trump is the victim here. He reeely, reeeely wanted to go, but put the blame on the U.S. military for the failure: Marine Corps One, a combat-ready aircraft could not fly in the rain. Perhaps Trump should have hitched a ride with the French. They managed to get their president to the ceremony without excuses.

You can always count on Trump … not to put himself out for anyone other than himself.
