After years of “We were at Disney World on your birthday! We were in New Orleans on your birthday! We went to Disneyland on your birthday!” with only waking up at Yellowstone one of hers to show for the other direction, I decided to surprise my wife with a trip to Montreal (as grand as New Orleans but more tolerable at the end of June). Then the tickets showed up on the credit card statement, complete with destination.
