Jane can’t help being curious about Bobbie…. who showed her pictures of Ted, proclaiming herself straight and Ted her husband.
Meanwhile… I replied to a few people a while back, but so late I don’t think anybody saw it.
This is my take on the storyline… please excuse the repetition of names. Hard to keep it straight otherwise.
On Jan 21st, Chelle is talking about when her mother, Virginia, was young, and still lived at home… presumably a teen or a very young adult… _
Her father, (Virginia’s, not Chelle’s) drove Rachel away… and Virginia hardened her heart.
Sometime after that, she had Chelle… as I said, there had to be a biological man involved… NOT Ted, who is female.
I wondered why Virginia married a man when she already knew she was a lesbian.
She probably just decided to follow a more socially acceptable path for the 1960’s…. and maybe she wanted a child.
Then we saw the scene when Chelle was 26, and came home to have Christmas with Virginia, bringing Jill, who reminded Virginia of her long-lost Rachel.
The insinuation is that she hit on Jill, her own daughter’s girlfriend.
At that time, there was an apparently male person living with Virginia.
Chelle knew him…I wondered whether it was her biological father.
One or two of you said it was Ted…
He did kind of look like Ted, but I don’t know whether “he” and Virginia were together yet.
Someone else said it was Virginia’s father… but it seems odd that a woman with a 26 year old daughter would be living with her father… and it didn’t look like him.
On this visit, Chelle is possibly 35 or 40.
She and Jill have been together and apart several times.
Virginia and Ted recently “visited” Jill, looking for Chelle….
Ted gave Jill a black eye, which Chelle thinks was out of jealousy, because Virginia still hits on Jill.
And yeah, Virginia looks older… she’s at least 60!
Sorry, but with all the drama all I can see is Jane with an open collard shirt. The very air is different in the room. Back to the show. I see a strategic position being taken behind Ted.
