I agree that getting a Christmas tree before Thanksgiving is a little too early—especially if it’s live. It will be a dead dry husk by Christmas! That being said, the job I retired from a couple of years ago gave employees the day after Thanksgiving off. So, on that Friday Hubby and I got out the decorations and put up the (artificial) tree. We generally get it all done on that day, with Saturday for any overflow. I sometimes quarrel with Hubby because he wants to start playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving—or course, the malls have been playing said music since Halloween!

Mark my words one day in the far future Halloween-Thanksgiving-Xmas will be one continuous week or month long mixed celebration.
