Another dishonest (or uninformed, if you want to give Stantis the benefit of whatever doubt might be there)…
Yes, Democrats oppose the brutal, sexist, misogynistic Trumpian tyranny.
But Democrats are not just about “no,” we also do propose positive alternatives…
• Protect health care, including pre-existing conditions (in contrast to those who vote more than 70 times to eliminate pre-existing conditions but now say they are for it — forked tongue).
• True MIDDLE CLASS tax cut, not just for billionaires, whose taxes should be RAISED to make up for decades of paying LOWER tax rates on investment profits (capital gains) or nothing at all based on the deductions, exemptions and loopholes negotiated by their paid lobbyists.
• Increase wages, especially minimum wages
• Stop the Trump war on domestic jobs
• Protect rights of women, minorities and LGBT people
Does Scott Stantis really not know this?
Or is he a Trumpian Trojan horse puppet giving lip service to his reservations about Trump?
Where to even start…. Dems consistently talk policy and propose solutions which are buried by fear mongering BS campaigns. What does the GOP stand for? Taking every federal entitlement- Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA and giving it to the 1%. Gee I wonder which one the non-1% should be FOR?
If you want healthcare, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, a living wage, health, environment, financial, and job protections, and restore our place as leader on the world stage, vote Democrat. If you prefer lies, racism, bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, stealing children, sexual predators on the SCOTUS, no healthcare, none of the medicare and social security you have been paying into all your life, and living your life directed by Trump at the command of his leader, Putin, then there is no reason rational and patriotic Americans need to bother with you.
When any ordinary citizen claims to be uninformed of what a party or candidate stands for, they are simply stating that they are either unable to read or too lazy or disinterested to find out. Both parties have pages and pages that explain their positions all over the internet. Every candidate, from local precinct chair to president has a webpage that states their positions, added to whenever someone asks them a question that isn’t covered. Reading enough of this stuff to make an informed decision as to which candidate you choose to vote for is a reasonable expectation for someone who is simply voting. When you are publishing a cartoon, there are only two reasons why you would not have that information. The first is that you are too uninformed to have any business making any public statement about anything. The second is that you want to persuade voters that there is no point in their reading enough to find out who they actually agree with on the issues because you know that your best chance for a Republican vote is a person who is uninformed.
It’s about healthcare, and preserving coverage for pre-existing conditions. It’s about understanding the GOP candidates are lying when they say they’re defending that coverage because we’ve seen them try to repeal it like 60 times. It’s about keeping Social Security and Medicare because the Republicans created a massive deficit with their tax scam and are now going to use that as an excuse to gut our social safety nets. And it’s about the absolute nerviness of the GOP to call programs that Americans have contributed to with a portion of every paycheck we’ve ever earned “entitlements”. You f***ing moron.
GUYJEN 2004 Your third sentence explains why you believe as you do. You don’t really live in the real world if 60% of the people you know are Republicans, because the percentage nationally is about half of that. I wrote the rest of this a couple months ago. Even though you are obviously an intelligent person and probably have a normal number of teeth for your age, you are an example of exactly what I was talking about. …………………………. The Trump supporters who post on here are not necessarily living in Moscow. Just about where in rural America is sufficient for them to develop their views. Watch a few minutes of Faux news. It won’t take long, but keep a vomit bucket handy and hang in there as long as possible. Once your tolerance level is raised, try a couple of minutes of Hannity. ( I’m still only up to about 5 minutes on him). It’s a real eye opener. In some states, you can’t get much else, and the talk radio is even more insane. A lot of the people who are in the Faux bubble would really have to put out some serious effort to get some contact with reality, while they are constantly bombarded with conservative propaganda. And, the people they have coffee with, go to church (or the bar) with etc are dealing with the same situation. That means that real people that you know and trust are backing up what you are getting from the propaganda machine. Unless you are a really intelligent, involved person, you are going to accept the world you see, unaware that it has been paid for and organized by people who, unless you are wealthy, are working against your best interests.

Trump and his policies are the opposite of what most people want. So, in that respect Mr. Stantis is right.
