Voting Republican is the ultimate expression of the old saying “Cutting off your nose to spite your face”! Voters in Republican states will vote against their own best interests, give away their health care, and even their own future just so they can say “We kept them there durn Libruls from winnin’! HAW HAW HAW!!!”

The lie from the time of Reagan till today is that tax cuts pay for themselves. In all those years no tax cut has ever paid for itself. They have stolen the money from Social Security to hid how great the damage done was & now they want to steal the benefits too

Social Security is funded from FICA (payroll taxes), so as long as she paid into the system she is not ‘freeloading’. There are not anought future taxpayers to sustain the baby boomers retirement however because the latter simply did not have enough children. So we will need to either cut benefits more or raise the payroll tax rate on all workers; again. Ideally Social Security funding should have been modeled after the Federal Employees pension system, but unfortunately FDR designed SS funding to be a pyramid scheme.

The preceding 99 panels showed her paying into the system, paycheck by paycheck, and then eventually being stricken by debility and having to apply for it, be refused, fight for it and eventually be allowed some of her money back, and believing that she is now secure.

And here we are at #100.

Sheesh.. why do they scream about paying back money that was invested into a program for people’s retirement when people like Kushner never pay any taxes at all… those rich people who never pay into Social Security at all …but the Republicans want to give those rich people more tax breaks when they don’t even pay existing taxes ….it’s like free money for the rich …nothing for the poor!

They lie, they cheat, they steal; how do we know the elections won’t be extorted as well? Trump hasn’t lifted one finger as Prez to protect our electoral system. The GOP Congress squashed the last bill to fund and secure state voting systems. Is the fix already in?

Under democrat administrations, spending decreases, it rises under republican administrations. Deficit spending also increases under republican administrations as they reduce the revenue streams.

Keep in mind that those tax cuts still aren’t enough to allow Ted Cruz and his Goldman Sachs wife to get a second home. She has to work 70-hour weeks as the primary bread-winner because his $174K (plus benefits and allowances) is so low that they have had to sacrifice.

I once encountered a lockstep Trump supporting yokel with a single digit IQ who stated that the ACA saved his life but was against ObamaCare. I stared in disbelief and slowly told him that that was the SAME thing and that he basically was shooting himself in the foot. His slackjawed look made me – embarrassingly, briefly and guiltily – think that “thinning the herd” mightn’t be such a bad idea! Dios mio…
