    No immediate exuberant self gratification is not an adverse childhood experience.

    Adverse adult experiences can have health effects that are not only lifelong, but also immediate. Hence the last remark in panel four.

    Being forced to act as a surrogate parent is adverse to a child. It can even create a Schizotypal reaction in them.

    Cynthia was born to wealth, yet is aware of what it is like for those not so fortunate. Cynthia is her dad’s worst enemy.
