DON’T HAVE TO WAIT, early voting has started in most states. I voted on Tuesday——STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC. You can’t keep your Republican rep,who’s actually a decent enough guy, if he is voting to support Trump. If you don’t know, go to Open Secrets, or Real Clear Politics, or just look up the congressional record.
Mitch McConnell gave a hard hearted felt speech this morning before the drop of the blade—-on all of us. To the Reich Wingers they see more rights and fewer rights are the same. I don’t see it that way.
I expect this is going to create a wave, or a surge, or whatever. But not to the left.
Much of the media focus has been on the outrage of the left, the anger of women. What they failed to cover is the outrage on the right. For every angry liberal there is an angry conservative who is absolutely disgusted by the tactics of personal destruction.
People who have watched not only the hearings, but the attacks and harassment of Senators by activists. The reports of death and/or rape threats against Kavanaugh and his family, Senators and their staff members. The crumbling of Ford’s story as it changes each time she tells it. The total lack of evidence, prof or corroboration.
But most of all, the presumption of GUILT by the Dems. From the very first moment, they assumed he was guilty, treated him as guilty and refused to back off even as Ford’s witnesses refuted or failed to support her story.
At the very minimum, the anger on the left and right will be a wash at the polls. But I suspect that as the lack of evidence continues to percolate out to the voters, as the Dems continue to make wild accusations about a coverup, the right will grow more angry and the left will back away. At least those who take the time to read.
