“A judge shall act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the independence, integrity and impartiality of the judiciary, and shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.”
Rule 1.2, American Bar Association Model Code of Judicial Conduct
.
If you went to a job interview and screamed about how unfairly you had been treated you would not get the job and you would be escorted out by security.
.
Kavanaugh’s screaming invective’s at all Democrats proves that he is not impartial and has no place on the bench.
.
Kavanaugh alienated half of the public with his outrages behavior.
.
Kavanaugh lied when asked questions about his life, he is disqualified.
Just imagine how much worse Kavanagh would have looked if the committee majority hadn’t called off their experienced sex crimes prosecutor? If he’d lied to her as flagrantly as he lied to some of the Democrats she’d probably have flayed him.
The “female assistant “ the Republicans hired to examine Dr. Ford was fired on the spot and removed. She had been inquiring of Kavanaugh about an entry on the calendar, and he lied to her. She knew it was a lie. According to Arizona law (where she is licensed), when the prosecutor believes they’ve been lied to, they have to stop on the spot and give a Miranda warning. She took a break to explain to the old white guys that she had to give the witness a Miranda warning, and they fired her on the spot.
Well, he was certainly bloodied, bruised, and discredited, but it was all self-inflicted. A display of raw partisanship, prevarication, untruth, whining, gratuitous rudeness (but only to “females”), evasiveness, self-aggrandizement, arrogance, selective memory, and misdirection.
And fear. I think he was asked at least 10 times if he would be in favor of the FBI reopening their background check on him, and every time he answered some other question. (Once with such intricate swoops and swirls that Sen. Harris was obliged to say, finally, “I take that as ‘no’.”) He seemed to find the whole idea thoroughly rattling. It’s not hard to guess why; for my part, I doubt the FBI will be able to come up with anything relatingto Ms Blasey’s experience, but there’s a lot of garbage in that man’s past that arguably has important bearing on whether he should be on the Supreme Court. Or any court.
The only reason why he, Judge Kavanaugh would be against the FBI is for the same reason that Pres. Trump is. They both have things to hide from the light.
So odd to see the differing perceptions. In a purely legal sense, no one has yet laid a glove on K. From a publicity standpoint, some think he has been beaten, other see him as finally bringing the fight back to the Dems.

Hand selected by YOUR GUY, Varvel. Aren’t you proud?
.
Which part did you like the best, when he claimed that Ford was part of a left wing conspiracy to get revenge on us for Clinton?
Maybe the part where he said that the yearbook stuff about the guys being alumni of a certain girl was a sign of ‘respect’?
Or possibly the part where he stated that he’d never drank so much that he didn’t remember afterward?
.
Me, I liked how non-partisan he was after rehearsing his answers at the White House, and his exhibition of judicial temperament.
.
But, what else would you expect from someone selected by the best judge of character in human history?

You’re making a martyr of him Mr. Varvel? Nice try.

No cartoon from Varvel of what Dr. Ford may have looked like after someone assaulted her?

Did Varvel intend to illustrate that Kavanaugh’s “wounds” were self-inflicted?
