It is not a matter of “he said, she said.”

It is a matter of “he said” (but refuses to allow any further questions, evidence, investigations, witness or polygraph results) vs “she said” and backs it up with witnesses (who TrumpubliCON rape-supporters refuse to allow), contemporaneous yearbook bio (compiled by Kavanaugh) and additional witnesses from later years (including during his years at Yale and much later, in 1998, while he was demanding humiliation of Bill Clinton for allegations of consensual oral sex far less than the forcible crimes of violence he was committing at the same time while drinking to blackout), supported by a polygraph result from a test administered by a retired FBI agent.

All of the accusers are demanding an FBI investigation and more detailed examination of the issues. This is not what false accusers do. Kavanaugh is refusing any investigations, polygraphs or additional witnesses. An innocent person would be demanding those elements that would prove his innocence.

Brett Kavanaugh did what he was accused of and lied about it.

The multiple 36-year-old (and later) allegations are grounds for denying a lifetime appointment.

His current LYING ABOUT IT UNDER OATH (perjury), what he demanded Bill Clinton to be impeached for, demand his own impeachment from his current lifetime appointment.

He already perjured himself, so they don’t believe him. They just don’t care. They want him anyway. Eff the rule of law and the civilized society it rode in on! /s

The justice nominee was ‘picked’ through the most extreme partisan ‘process’ possible.

The primary intention is to make abortion illegal, thus satisfying The Base and allowing the continued looting of the wealth of the nation, transferring it to the American would-be oligarchs.

    .

Next up: intensified attacks on the press as ‘enemies of the people’ so that journalists and opponents of Republicans will disappear or die under tragic and mysterious circumstances.

Wouldn’t it be more embarrassing if control of Congress changed in November, and a hastily appointed justice was then investigated, impeached and removed? Personally, I’d be happier if all appointments had to be near unanimous not a just simple majority for a life-long position.

Sadly, as Walter Cronkite used to say “And that’s the way it is”.

The sexist old Republican white men will jam unpopular Kavanaugh down the throat of Lady Liberty anyway.

At this point, I imagine Trump has to conduct a pretty extensive search for anyone to work for his administration. At least a Supreme Court judge has the advantage of not being fired the first time Hannity tells Trump to do it. But, he will always be the judge that was appointed because he was compliant with a crazed president, not because he actually belonged on the Supreme Court.

Stantis is right … The process for selecting Supreme Court Justices is badly flawed … So, too, is the fact that they serve “for life.”

Yes, it absolutely IS a matter of he said/she said. And the weight of supporting “evidence” is solidly in favor of Kavanaugh.

Ford claims only 1 beer but can’t remember most of the details that would allow confirmation of when, where and who. The people she claims were present has varied from account to account, and every one of them has claimed they weren’t there, don’t recall Kavanaugh being there or otherwise contradicting her story. Including her good friend.

Her lead up to this debacle stinks. She submitted her letter to a House member instead of a Senator in order to avoid a felony perjury risk. Her polygraph results/questions fail to mention Kavanaugh by name. She can’t tell us who ordered or paid for the Poly. She begged a delay because of fear of flying yet it is proven that she flies on a regular basis for business and personal reasons. Her therapist notes fail to mention any named assailant, yet her husband claims to remember her naming Kavanaugh during couples sessions.

I have no doubt something happened to her in HS. However, I am 100% convinced that she is using this old trauma for partisan political purposes. Her own political history and background includes activism for left leaning issues.

There is an seemingly endless stream of revelations that contradict her story and/or point to political motivation for this farce.

Sexist Grassley acted in a prejudicial manner to not call the witnesses such as Judge.

He’s a swine. Drinking, assault, gambling, perjury. And now he’s melting down under questioning.

And the republicans still think he’s an awesome human being, and will all vote for him.

Given that this is not a court of law but a job interview, the question really is not whether or not one is presumed “innocent.” Let’s say you have a store and you want to hire a manager. You find someone you like but then you hear a rumor that this candidate has done some nasty, immoral, perhaps illegal stuff. What do you as the prospective employer do? Turn a blind eye? Or investigate?
