Oh for the love of … what is happening is not a criminal trial with a certain “burden of proof” required for conviction, but a job interview with legitimate requirements for a standard of character that is very questionable, at this point, in Kavanaugh’s case. I know the far right has given up on “being of good moral character” as any kind of yard stick for high office (Trump, Roy Moore, etc.) and gone with “willing to give all the power and money to the very rich and privileged” as the only measure of worthiness, but some of us would like the bar to be a little higher than that.

Ms. Benson was equally upset when the GOP smeared McCain’s adopted daughter … when #45 insulted Cruz’s wife … when #45 maintained that President Obama’s birth certificate was fake….

Those donkeys need to be replaced with elephants. Every time anyone stands up to Trump or his candidates, the right wing immediately launches a smear campaign. As soon as the news about Blasey Ford broke, the smear campaign was on.

When one side says, “If you don’t believe me, let’s let the FBI uncover the truth”, and the other side says, “No, we’re not doing that”, but you want everyone to believe the side that’s trying to cover it up.

Please remember that there is documented proof that this nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States has no problem lying under oath.

Accusations of assault aside; Kavanaugh did lie under oath. That alone should disqualify him, but the repubs have no qualms about lying because of their king liar.

The accuser has no idea when, or where the supposed event took place. The only “witnesses” she names are on record having denied they were involved. Her own parents aren’t even backing her up. She is an activist Democrat who got lawyers paid for by whoever, way up front. Democrats waited until the last minute to pull off a carefully organized “October Surprise.” This should be a no-brainer but we live in different times.
