Pumpkin by itself doesn’t taste like much at all. Bland with just a faint hint of sweetness.

It is sooooooo easy to just use the individual spices to achieve the same result. Premixed “pumpkin spice” is just a shortcut for what is already no big deal.

Space Squids flew those kinds of ships in the cartoon “Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot”.
