Definitely tears “streaming” down his face. Einstein didn’t think of science and the concept of a universal intelligence incompatible.

Old adage: Life is a mystery to be lived. Not a problem to be solved.

It’s a lot like one of the apes figuring out the structure of Donkey Kong but getting a mystical shiver attempting to envision the theoretical Nintendo. Prof. Einstein was a character in another game. We’re still trying to figure out where or when it came from.

Grateful for eyes to see; always had a hard time relating to those that don’t.

Great toon! Alas, I have a small correction for panel two (sorry, my name is Spock): Einstein wasn’t working in an Office for Intellectual Property. It was a Patent Office (“Patentamt”). Trade Mark issues were treated separately back then. The institution was only renamed later, in 1978 to Federal Office for Intellectual Property (“Bundesamt für geistiges Eigentum”, BAGE) and in 1996 into Confederate Institute for Intellectual Property (“Eidgenössisches Institut für Geistiges Eigentum”, IGE).
