I’m guessing that Mr. Kelly is all for the police indiscriminately shooting African Americans. After all, that is part of what Kaepernick was protesting.
My how petty we are Kelley. So petty you are willing to overlook DJT money laundering, rape, and high crimes and misdemeanors. Hm. There’s a cartoon in their somewhere.
Racist, petty, utterly lacking in comprehension of the U.S. Constitution and of the obligation—not just the right, but the obligation—of citizens to protest injustice. Mr. Kelly’s attempts to defend the indefensible are pathetic.
Nike has a new advertisement for the start of the NFL season, so they don’t seem to be worried by the boycott.
Not that they should be. After all, who comprises most of the CONservatives who are screaming about this? Old white men.
Now, who is the primary sales demographic for Nike? Millennials.
I’d say the win on this kerfuffle goes to Nike. Not that it matters to me, since I’ve never bought a pair of Nikes in my life. I just don’t see any sense in spending extra money for something just because of the name it has on the product.
Nike is laughing all the way to the bank as some of the Trump idiots go out and buy some Nikes just to burn them. People who would never have bought them in the first place except for the ads….lol
We the people are not as divided as our “representatives” are. Social media distorts the size of affiliations, not just the factual content. The 1% and the careers of their financially sponsored politicians use propaganda to divide us, but it’s not effective all the time.
I am glad to see Kelley show his true colors. Do you actually think this ad campaign was done without careful consideration all around? Good or Bad? Truth is Nike is aiming this at the younger generation, not yours Mr. Kelley. Nike is looking at the next 30 years moving forward while guys like you reminisce about how it once was. I applaud Nike and Kaepernick for their morals.
Here is the harsh truth about Colin Kaepernick. His diminished skill-set as an NFL quarterback, is his biggest drawback. Why any team would risk harming their business by hiring him at this point of his fledgling career, especially with all the other baggage he would bring to their organization, and to their city, is the biggest reason he has no NFL job. Outside of his rookie season, when Kaepernick was an extremely dangerous quarterback to defend, please tell me what he accomplished in the league. Sure, THAT season, CK’s ability to run outside on both sides of the field when he couldn’t find an open receiver, made him an incredible threat. But if you look closely at the highlights from that season, his outside receivers were engaging in egregious, but uncalled holding infractions. Because of that, during the offseason that year, the league decided to crack down on receiver holding. Kaepernick has never been the effective quarterback he was as a rookie when he took San Francisco to a narrow Super Bowl loss. His skills have diminished ever since. He NEVER was a great and accurate passer, despite having a strong arm. One of his last appearances as a starting NFL quarterback is down in the record books as the worst in league history.Colin Kaepernick may be a great guy. I have no reason to doubt that he absolutely earnest in his cause for social justice, which is not the pejorative the folks at Breibart think it is. But the idea that Kaepernick risked being an NFL Superstar for his cause is silly. He had already become an also ran QB by the time he took his stand. Nike has the right to promote their product any way they choose. But this is just another dumb commercial.
