^OldCoal, I understand your point. Some thoughts occur:
The Republican Party is in an unenviable position, and so is the president. They hope to maintain control of the House and Senate. They seem to feel that their base will be enough to ensure their continued control. The president keeps pandering to his base, which is not enough to re-elect some of his supporters. In a free and fair election, the president and the Republicans would need to gain the support of a lot of independents and members of the Democratic Party to ensure their continued control.
The Republican party don’t seem to realize that by failing to speak out against the president, they are painting themselves as complicit. That’s asking to be defeated, and to cripple their party for a generation. Will they resort to extreme measures to throw the mid-terms? Will they accept Russian interference in the election? (They haven’t done anything to safeguard the mid-terms.) Might they convince the president to do something outrageous?
Something doesn’t add up, and we should be thinking about it.
Jail is jail, and before Mueller finishes, the lineup of Trump’s people will top the score of jailed asociates from Nixon and Reagan combined, and this time no judges willing to reverse the charges as with North and etc.. Rudy migh look good in stripes too.

News for Giuliani … truth IS truth; guilt IS guilt, and “Lock her up” was directed at the wrong candidate.
GUILTY: Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort
GUILTY: Trump fixer and lawyer Michael Cohen
GUILTY: National Security Advisor Michael Flynn (who led the “lock her up chant”)
GUILTY: Top campaign, transition and White House advisor Rick Gates
GUILTY: Campaign foreign affairs advisor George Papadopoulos
Trump keeps calling it a witch hunt but we keep finding the smoking broomsticks!

Rudy is the reason for all the lawyer jokes – let me repeat a few.
Q: Why did God invent lawyers?A: So that real estate agents would have someone to look down on.
Q: What’s the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a lawyer on a motorcycle?A: The vacuum cleaner has the dirt bag on the inside.
Q: How does an attorney sleep?A: First he lies on one side, then he lies on the other.
Q: How many lawyer jokes are there?A: Only three. The rest are true stories.
Q: Why did New Jersey get all the toxic waste and California all the lawyers?A: New Jersey got to pick first.
Q: Why don’t lawyers go to the beach?A: Cats keep trying to bury them.
Q: What do lawyers and sperm have in common?A: One in 3,000,000 has a chance of becoming a human being.

So now Trumpee is an unindicted co-conspirator. Same thing that brought down tricky Dick could help bring down an even trickier dick.
Meanwhile stocks in popcorn continue to rise.

This cartoon reminds me of a New England joke:
“Do you have a criminal lawyer in this town?”
“We think so. Ain’t been able to prove it, though.”

If it wasn’t for those Vulcan ears on Rudy being an insult to an entire culture, especially Mr Spock; I’d say this was a great rendering!
