Rudy said it would be a perjury trap before Mueller because trump would contradict what Comey says and then they would say that Comey’s version was true. Well, Comey did always take notes right after each meeting, as he was trained to do by the FBI. Whereas trump can’t get through a sentence without contradicting himself, so there’s that.
What his lawyers mean by “perjury trap” is that Trump is completely incapable of telling the truth. Let that sink in. This time it’s not Trump’s political enemies saying that, it’s the lawyers he pays to defend him telling us their client is a compulsive liar.
