It was funny the first time. – It might be funny again if the timing were topical… – Some time back I saw news of a proposed redesign of British (etc.) coins to update to QEII’s current appearance. I hope they didn’t.- I also presume that they have chosen a new design for the coins once QEII gets promoted to the same place where Victoria, Elizabeth I (not known as ‘I’ until QEII became monarch), George III, Ethelred II and the others meet for this show. (Young Prince Bertie hasn’t become King Edward VII yet in this time line.)
