Good thing that story arc finally ended. Let’s see:

    1) A lot of daily strips were about the lumbering process. As if someone cares.

    2) In many of the strips, the first panel unnecessarily repeated the last panel of the former strip.

    3) It never occurred to Tarzan, although he knew that was some danger in the river, to follow Olu, ready to intervene and save him in case the danger showed up. Hall was worried but did not suggest that.

    4) Tarzan’s bow repaired itself.

    5) Tarzan was shot, but was not weakened even slightly.

    6) The worst thing: the villain was neither killed nor delivered to the authorities. In the former strip he was handed to his men, and that’s it.

    7) And, of course: no dead lion, not hottie evil queen (both were in the omitted story “The Blonde Goddess”).

Where’s “Korak” also? Now there’s a killer off somewhere else.

Sadly, in spite of Tarzan’s help getting Henri out of the way, Bill succumbed to his alcohol addiction and spent the remainder of his life frequenting the jungle bars, forever being the jungle sot and forcing his lumber company into bankruptcy.

The river is safe because the crocodiles moved away since Henri wasn’t going to feed them. And Hall deserved the help because he worked so hard at finishing that fifth.
