“C” has a hard and a soft pronunciation…. “candy” vs “celery”….
But if the inventor of the car said "I want you to pronounce it ‘sar’ …. everyone would just laugh.
Sorry Steve Wilhite…. but ha ha ha.
From now on, I shall pronounce it “Hyeef” as my proto-Germanic ancestors said it!
Addendum: my alleged ancestors. I should probably have prefixed it with an asterix, since I don’t know where I came from.
