For a couple of weeks now, the sycophantic rabble have bought into his babble that “the Democrat law made me do it”.
Despite the fact that this is utter nonsense (please read the various Snopes articles on this point if you are educable, and don’t believe me), he insisted he had no choice, until he suddenly bailed and ostensibly made the choice he said he could not make.
He may not go through with his reversal. Maybe he’ll continue his mistreatment of the asylum seekers by separating families under another pretext, or concoct some fresh hell to put them through. He lies as easily as most of us breathe. I’m not sure anything is out of bounds for him.
But, there is a lesson here for the adherents to the Cult of Trump: The true believers had to gaga over his harda$$ treatment of these families (MAGA, standin’ up fur ‘Murica an’ all that), but your bully (more properly pronounced bull$hitter) in chief fled from your ranks when it became convenient for him to do so. He says what you want to hear, and occasionally does something the base will like, because it works for him, not you. Your support is merely a tool he uses to feed his ego and line his pockets.

Some screams of trauma last a lifetime in for that individual; others might only echo until this November or until the next Presidential election. This scream should reverberate and grow in power. This must be remembered.
