I see trouble ahead.

Who needs a zoo when your best friend is a tiger?

Mom’s certainly not attuned to Calvin’s interests.

Calvin already has a zoo. He can pet, play, even roughhouse with the animals…and not get in trouble!

Don’t take HObbes; he’ll be traumatized!

he will see lions, tigers, and bears oh my.

ah, the zoo arc. Some funny gags to this one. Was it before or after this that they did the “Ask her if we can visit a prison next” strip, where Hobbes rips on the idea. I know Hobbes makes a comment about how sad zoos are here, but the other strip was a one-off (Calvin tells his mom “No thanks”).

All week? I guess it’s been going in one ear and right out the other!

Take him to the zoo? I say if the zoo wants him, they should come and get him.

If Mom and Dad want Calvin to come along, all they have to do is tell him that Rosalyn is a phone call away…
