While we all hope for the best from the summit, I can’t help but imagine KJU walking back with his staff saying “I can’t believe they fell for that crap again!”

I’m sure Mikey put up a cartoon celebrating Bill Clinton’s triumph with Kim’s Father where the U.S got the same (foggy) concessions (and Bill Clinton didn’t stab South Korea and Japan in the back to do so). Didn’t he?… didn’t he?….?

Mr. Lester is there a reference for the panel on the right? I admit I didn’t go thru the protestor news images for the summit yet.

    But I have seen this

    Where to start…

    1) The “no nukes” movement from the 70s was for AMERICA to stop building nukes. It wasn’t a message of “only foreigners should stop using nukes”

    2) Nobody is complaining about the denuclearization of Korea. Nobody is saying that’s a bad idea… people are saying that Trump did a bad job of accomplishing that goal.

    3) As someone on the left who thinks Trump is an idiot… I will freely admit that I will be happy if Trump somehow does negotiate peace on the Korean Peninsula. Even though unlikely, it is possible that a deranged egomaniac President might be the one person who can find a way to communicate with another deranged egomaniac.

So all those other first steps throughout the years by both Republicans and Democrats mean nothing and its only Trumps that are meaningful? There is none so blind as those who choose not to see. Bill Clinton got pretty much the same concessions from Kim’s Father and yet you ignore History and scream “HOORAY!For Trump!!!”

Congratulations, once again most of you have proven to be the character in the cartoon. You’d literally rather have nuclear war than acknowledge Trumps achievement. Good news: you’re not along….https://www.facebook.com/WorldCloudLA/videos/780245442099640/

For those that want to know the truth about the previous deal with North Korea, including amounts of money from Clinton and Bush 43, plus the input from other countries.

Mike, the majority of the comments question the trustworthiness of Kim since the US has made deals with NK before where inspections were included from the very beginning. Trump agreed to stop military exercises while getting no guarantees for inspections, they didn’t discuss NK’s deplorable human rights and Trump came back stating that the problem was solved and we’re all “safe”. No one is claiming that anyone WANTS Trump’s plan to fail, we just doubt it. If you say these comments “prove” your cartoon, then please provide the link that Vidrinath requested.

Granted, some of the comments were derogatory about Trump, but that isn’t what you are claiming in your comment.

The New Yorker has a good article suggesting that N. Korea is following a Chinese plan to slowly start a consumer limited westernization, using our lovely patsy in chief to lift sanctions, and promote the “new regime” of N Korea as good guys. Trump gets to pretend he’s the new messiah while China distracts and improves its global expansion, and Russia gloats and does the same. Donny Trump is America’s Achille’s heel!

Mr. Lester: Is #45’s “achievement” regarding the DPRK as meaningful as GWB’s “Mission Accomplished?”

( Or perhaps when you mentioned “Trump’s achievement” you were referring to how legal immigrant children were being forcibly separated from their parents. )

Lester is right: it logically follows that if we don’t acknowledge Trump’s accomplishments, we are in favour of nucular war.
