Many years ago, before the advent of the DVR gave me the blessed ability to skip over commercials, I remember seeing one short-lived one for, I think, a mobile-phone service that mentioned a number of people the guy in the commercial could possibly interact with. It ended up with “your ex-girlfriend” but then quickly added “no, not her, she’s crazy”. I don’t think it stayed on the air very long, but it really resonated with me, and I suspect a whole lot of other guys as well.
