I worry most of all for those who saw hope for the middle class in his visions of America’s future as an isolationist, xenophobic, white supremacist nation.
There was a Mayberry and there was a Leave it to Beaver. There still is. There are plenty of people living good clean lives, changed only by access to technology that has no actual effect on their style and quality of life. The TV shows just failed to show the whole picture. Everyone in our Mayberry in the 1950’s knew who was having an affair with whose wife, who was stealing from the store where they worked, who was spending most of their time too drunk to do anything, etc. Now lots of people, instead, seem to enjoy watching the Kardashians who wallow in immorality. If that’s your choice in TV programming, don’t blame it on the world in general. You decided that’s what you want to focus on.
Before the election it was reported that Trump went to NBC about doing an apprentice type show from the White House. He was turned down. After the election he decided to do the show anyway. It’s called “The Presidency.”

Good thing he is not weighted down by the struggles of working Americans.

He’s got the weight of the made-up world on his shoulders, while people living in reality are suffering.
