Given what has been happening at our schools, there should be another door for victims who never had chance.

Need to have a door labeled NRA heroes that died for the cause

The very liberal education system coupled with a breakdown in family values and belief in religion is working real well in our society so we blame a inanimate object as the root cause. Lets stop treating a symptom of the disease and actually do something to cure the disease.

Loco, family values and a belief in religion are personal things. Something you feel very strongly about based on YOUR family’s values or religion are not shared by all. Evangelicals are fine with multiple divorces, unbridled greed and call Trump’s affairs a “mulligan”. There isn’t anything in the Bible against abortion and there is plenty about supporting the poor while there are LOTS of people that call themselves Christians that want to stop all abortions and don’t want to support pre- or post-birth care of any kind.

The education system needs to start teaching the unvarnished truth about the US. Most people don’t know about the 1953 CIA coup in Iran that removed an elected prime minister to protect oil profits. Oliver North is head of the NRA but how many know about his previous experience in guns with Iran-Contra. Teach the truth about Iraq (see April Glaspie for a well-hidden secret) and “enemy of our enemy” foolishness (gave training and weapons to Saddam and bin Laden).

Whenever I see someone on the Right bemoaning the breakdown of family values, I know that what they are bemoaning is the loss of the patriarchy.

I’d have dropped out too, if school had been as unsafe for me then as it is for kids today.

Always choose the door on the Left, kids! The door on the Right is a shortcut to doom.

It’s about time we admitted that the door on the left no longer means what it once did.

    1) How many individuals who don’t decide on their own to “drop out” are denied “graduation”? When was the last time you heard of someone actually being held back a grade because they failed one or more subjects?

    2) For that matter, how many of those who “pass” English, math, science, or history courses today could “pass” what were the requirements for those courses when I was young? “Graduation” is no longer the same as “education” (if it ever was).

    3) For those who do “graduate”, how many find a first (or even subsequent) job that significantly uses the education which led to that graduation? (Is juggling spreadsheets really much better than flipping burgers?)
