It’s amazing how many of the nominees for positions that drumpf tries to fill have no conception of how to answer "Yes or No " to a Yes or No question

It was amusing to watch the hearing. Some of the Dems were posing for 2020 campaign clips, others were fishing for justification for the “No” they intend to cast regardless of her answers.

This particular nominee has really exposed the “resistance” mentality in the Senate. Some of the Dems would vote No for their own children simply because Trump appointed them.

Are words like ‘ethics’ and ‘morality’ are being erased from political speech?

ANDYLIT, Haspel and the Bush administration violated the Geneva conventions. Haspel refused to say YES or NO to address imorality of torture. If Trump ordered it, she has given no reason for people to believe she wouldn’t authorize it again, especially considering how lawless the CIA has been in the past.

Protocols I and II were signed by US which indicates an intention to ratify. It is a shame that too many in the US, including Congress, falsely believe that international treaties and diplomacy make the US weaker.

@AndyLit, given that Pence has praised James Dobson and considers himself a follower of Chuck Colson, who raised the possibility of a Christian insurrection against the government and was a signatory to the “Evangelicals and Catholics Together” pact which asserted that religion is “privileged and foundational in our legal order,” I think we can safely say that if Pence is not a Christian Dominionist, he sure fakes it very well indeed.
