As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, Aim high; hope for great things – but this time the GOP aimed sideways and got terrible things. They are getting burned in the process.

Reminds me of Calvin in “Calvin and Hobbes”. Like Calvin’s Radio flyer the Republican party will come crashing down to earth. And just like Calvin the Republican party shows a Quixote like inability to learn from it’s mistakes. Unfortunately for us, unlike Calvin the Republican party exists in our reality and we have to suffer for it’s mistakes.

It appears that the “Great Recession” of 2008 simply didn’t get bad enough. But, my faithful conservative friends, Fear Not. The current administration is doing it’s best to make sure that not only CAN things get worse, they certainly WILL get worse for those of us in the lower 90%.

Unlike Icarus, it is Trump’s brain that is melting. His recent call to Fox and Friends was not waxing lyrical but rather hysterical.
