Funny, you don’t see jell-o in restaurants. Only in hospitals, and for some reason only the pastel-colored stuff. Nothing good like raspberry, strawberry, or cherry. Just lemon, lime, and the most vile of all, ranking just above hard-boiled eggs, orange. I wouldn’t give that to the dog. And if I did, he wouldn’t eat it.
I visit all of my inlaws in the great state of Oklahoma every so often, and if we go out for dinner (specifically at a buffet) I always find cubed jello on the SALAD bar. I read somewhere that Oklahoma City “uses” more Jello per capita than any other city in the US.
