Trump will do just about anything to keep his 35%ers happy. Militarizing the southern boarder is the ultimate in stupidity. Let Boarder Patrol continue to do it’s job. Immigrants are not flowing across the boarder like Trump tells his trumpers. Trump is just filled with hate for everyone that won’t kiss his a$$. Worst president in history of mankind.
I seriously doubt that Trump would stand that close to the border and I know that the would not salute anybody else. He thinks that they everyone should salute HIM.
The really interesting thing about this whole scenario is that militarizing the southern border in ANY WAY requires the President to (1) utilize the various State National Guards (it is unconstitutional to use the regular military for this purpose, I’ve been told) and (2) to use the National Guard, the President MUST so request that use from the governor of the state involved.
I truly want to be a “fly on the wall” when Donnie requests “permission” to utilize the California National Guard from Governor Brown. The response would be ‘problematic’ for the governor of MY state, New Mexico. We allow Republicans to play at governing every once in a while, but the legislature always remains solidly Democratic, so they never can do too much damage in the time we alot to them before we return to the proper functioning of a democracy with a Democrat as the head of the state.
Arizona and Texas may welcome the usurpation of state control of both their border and their National Guard, so Donnie might get half his border force if any State Governor is stupid enough to follow Donnie over this particular nonsensically contrived “cliff”!
From Donnie’s own lips has come the statement that illegal border crossings have decreased by 61% since Donnie has been President. And because crossings are ALREADY reduced by over 60%, we NOW NEED to mobilize our military because…?
