One of my favorite characteristics of “Peanuts” is that most of the other characters take Snoopy’s many identities (Joe Cool, WW I Flying Ace, World Famous lawyer-doctor-tree surgeon, vultures, rhinos, mountain lions, and so forth) calmly in stride. Of course, this doesn’t explain just how Linus knew the name was Joe Cool instead of Luke Warm……….
