Bennett’s okay. Better however when he does those duets with Lady Gaga.

My son has the most eclectic taste in music. Heavy Metal, Rap, Pop, The Beatles, Dylan, Melt-Banana, and about a week ago he texted to ask if we had any Miles Davis CDs. One time I asked him how he developed such a broad rage of musical taste, and he said “There’s a lot of good music out there. Why limit yourself.”

Tony Bennett has always been one on my favorite crooners, along with Mel Torme. Both gentlemen could sing and their voices became richer and even more pleasing as they aged

Unlike Frank Sinatra, who couldn’t carry a tune in a paper sack without the help of elaborate arrangements, by the likes of Nelson Riddle, to mask the fact that he couldn’t hit the notes, and didn’t stay on key !

I am in a couple of large community bands and one “chamber band” and we play everything from Renaissance galliards to big band swing to stuff still playing on Broadway. And get an audience, too
