Putin likes blood. To get started in “politics”, he blew up four OCCUPIED apartment buildings and blamed the Georgians of terrorism. Nothing gets people behind you like an outside enemy.
Putin has ports and a base in Syria to protect. He’s as likely to relinquish those as the naval installations in Sevastopol.
Today’s political cartoon was quite a jolt. I wonder how much of all this war comes down to money.
