Hick probably was trapped. Say she doesn’t lie for Trump. Congress probably had proof otherwise and would hit her with perjury. So she admitted she told “white lies”. Now she’s in trouble with Trump. We know he doesn’t lie. Right? If only congress could get Trump into the same trap.
Actually, I personally believe that ALL the above listed “spokespeople” were capable of ‘tolerating" the constant barrage of lies, misstatements and distortions emanating from Donnie’s mouth! What they couldn’t tolerate, eventually, was the need for them to REPEAT those lies and to defend them to the Press, and, therefore, to the American Public!
This is the “Catch 22” of serving Donald John Trump in the White House! Donnie desperately “needs” qualified people around him due to his OWN abysmal ignorance, but Donnie will only surround himself with people that will pledge unquestioning fealty to him – and by definition, people who would debase themselves to serve someone like Donnie are, again, by definition, not the “brightest bulbs in the basket!” What he has, what he can even hope to get, is about as far as you can get from Lincoln’s “Cabinet of Rivals”, considered by many as the most stellar Cabinet ever assembled by a President. From the Cabinet down to the stable hands, Abe tried to surround himself with what subsequent administrations would refer to as “the best and the brightest!”
Donnie’s ONLY requirement for governmental appointment is an affirmative answer to, “Will you pledge loyalty to me?” And an answer in the negative to the question, " Did you EVER say bad things about me for which you’ve not abjectly apologized?" The correct answers to those two questions comprises the extent of the “vetting” done by the White House on ANY positional candidate, ever!
