Why is Congress a gun free zone?

Why are NRA conventions a gun free zone?

Why is the Republican National Convention a gun free zone?

I mean aren’t these the greatest collections of good guys, who were smarter than anyone who was ever drafted or enlisted?

Don’t they have the bigliest courage of anybody?

If any shooting started, wouldn’t they, you know, return fire in some direction, saving all those lives due to their 100% accuracy?

Henry the FBI gets lots of “tips” they even say they erred on this one but to say they were asleep on the job is just wrong. What would you have them do? How would you fund thousands of more investigations? Shouldn’t the local officials forward information to the FBI if they see fit? Would anyone have had the legal ability to stop this latest mass murderer he acted?

How did Cruz get a military weapon? Did he buy it? Who sold it to him? Did he get it from family or a friend? Why did the give it to him? Did he steal it? Was it secured?

This is why we should stop selling assault rifles to citizens. No armed teacher will be able to stop this. Guards don’t work. We don’t need these weapons in society.

Even Trump’s CPAC was a gun-free zone, if it is good enough for our children, why won’t politicians allow guns around them?

So Chuck Grassley sponsors legislation to allow the mentally disturbed to buy guns on February 15, 2017, all the GOP loves it and it passes…. a year goes by, ….. after the shooting, Chuck Grassley says we need a law to stop the mentally disturbed getting guns. Thanks a bunch, Chuck.

This toon obscures what people have felt with for years. You are limited as to what can be done until something illegal occurs. Law enforcement cannot simply apprehend someone. There has to be rules broken and being a nut case is not one of them. If it were otherwise Louie Gohmert, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Jody Hice, Ted Cruz, Mark Walker, Virginia Foxx, Joni Ernst and a host of others would be in some form of detention.

What I find so amazing: Dr. Dewey Cornell, an expert on youth violence, was tasked by the House Judiciary Committee to examine school shootings and he outlined the causes extensively on May 13, 1999. Congress’s eyes glazed over, they put the report on the self, and went back to asking, “Oh, why do kids kill kids?” when the answers are all there in front of them. We know EXACTLY why kids kill kids, but who ever pays attention to the intelligent and educated when they can go with their guesses?

Neo, there you go, lying again.

They are not allowed to go with guesses — that’s too risky that they will guess right.

Republicans are required to go with official Republican talking points — like doing research on gun violence is exactly the same as confiscation of all guns.

Well, someone in FL sold this kid an AR-15 rifle. No questions ask.

They only had some 800,000 like reports to investigate.

And of course, if we give guns to all the teachers, no one will ever again be asleep at the switch or otherwise miss anything.
