What else can Lila complain about to drive the price up to a million?

OK, this is probably way off in right field but what came up in my mind was the old Jack Benny skit where he is being robbed at gunpoint.

Robber: “your money or your life.”

Jack: stands silently for several seconds hand on chin

    Robber: “Well!”

    Jack: “I’m thinking. I’m thinking.”

I think we all can relate to Lila’s definition of hell. I know I can.

Or purgatory, like Nell in the movie The Haunting: she lived there for seven years while taking care of her invalid mother. The movie starts a day or two after her mother’s death.
