I hope I don’t get a sister-in-law like Pearl. I mean sister of wife (or wife of wife’s brother[s]); I get along just fine with my brother’s wife.

“Pearl” is a great name for someone who began as an irritation.

Whoa! It’s a little early in the morning for erudition…

Earl is going to get it.

Much too late. She wore it out the moment she crossed the threshold.

I’m sure that’s how my daughter-in-law feels about me…

“I just changed my mind…”

She’s leaving to avoid Earl becoming a complete boor. I guess you could say: " It’s Pearl Before Swine " ?

Big trouble!

Seems there will be some discussion with Earl and Opal after Pearl leaves. I have a feeling that Earl will be on the losing end… again.

It’s nothing personal against Pearl. Earl just doesn’t like people in general. He views his home as his castle and he don’t like visitors in his castle
