Charles Kuralt was the first host (Jane Paulette now) and set the mission statement they still pursue. He is in many of the bits. It reminded me immediately of this Arlo And Janis strip. It spoke to me and for me and was one of those moments that makes you think Jimmy Johnson, Arlo And Janis are part of your family.

I’d never heard of the dude. When I was growing up, we didn’t watch TV on Sundays. Looks like he made a heck of an impression on the artist, though!
