    Our going out will be to get the 3 year old grandson so mama and daddy can have a break/party. Best way to celebrate.

    I made sure we had everything we needed a couple of days ago. It’s too cold to go out for anything now. We are waiting for warmer weather to take the tree down.

    In my family, growing up in Baltimore, the New Year’s Day menu was very Teutonic: roast pork and sauerkraut (a/k/a German soul food).
