My dad used to know a guy who bought a horse for his children. The guy said he could have bought a new Cadillac every year for what it cost to keep that horse.
When I was very young, the family across the road from us got a horse for their daughter. The remodeled their garage into a stable for it to live in and fenced their yard so it could go outside.
