When I was younger and still had kids in the house, the tree and all the decorations would stay until January, but now everything comes down on the 26th! I live alone and there is no one to please but myself.
We got our Christmas tree from a conservation center. Next week we’ll return the tree to them for planting by a stream. In return we scored a Years free membership and store discounts. That’s a win in my book and not throwing the tree in the firepit

I live alone … and the deco’s don’t come down till Epiphany on Jan 6.The 12 Days of Christmas START Dec. 25 and go til Jan 6.

My daughter always takes her tree down on the 26. (To be fair, it’s her daughter’s birthday.)
