Re: GregHard, yesterday: I agree with the facts you presented yesterday, but not the manner in which you presented them. You had me up until you started the name calling! Seriously, we need civil dialog and, while I am a “progressive” (now that conservatives have shamed us out of calling ourselves “liberal”), I will be the first to say that we don’t have all the answers. But neither do the conservatives. We have told ourselves that compromise is a four-letter word. We have forgotten how to count (letters in a word). // We have been listening too long to radio programs and watching Facebook posts that tell us only what we want to hear – and often, those are the sources tell us that those who don’t agree with us are enemies of the republic – if not mankind in general! (Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, &c)
Um, folks—King was Franklin Pierce’s vice president. He died of tuberculosis shortly after taking office. He was too ill to campaign. Try to remember that this cartoon teaches a bit of history while also tickling the funny bone and/or teaching us all another lesson about how far we have devolved.

Brian Carroll: Why do you show King ’s button to be like Hillary ’s letter-with-an-arrow? Is he using that logo?
