Val: No phone calls during dinner.
Val: No TEXTING, either.
Holly: But what if it's an EMERGENCY?!
Phone: About to cut my own bangs - Izzy
Holly: GASP!
Val: That IS an emergency! Call her! NOW!
I cut my bangs once when I was in high school. Ugh. I’ll remember that forever. I actually know how to do it now (am 44) - but I was sloppy back then. Nothing like having bangs that end a half inch ABOVE your eyebrows. :-) I learned that lesson.
In the early 70s the style was to have bangs that were just barely above your eyes or slightly in your eyes.
When my younger sister was a freshman in high school, my older sister, (soon to go to beauty school) cut the younger ones bangs while they were wet. We all learned hair shrinks as it dries.
The younger one was so traumatized, mom did not make her go to school for a couple of days. I remember her sobbing for hours after her hair dried.

Go ahead and cut them…if you don’t like it, they’ll grow back and you won’t do it again.

That’s right. Izzy will learn fast, esp if she has curly hair and cuts it wet. Definitely not speaking from experience here… ;-)

A bad haircut doesn’t grow out well, but then you get PROFESSIONAL HELP.

When I was four, cut my little sister’s eyelashes. Now that’s an emergency. Just ask my mother.
I don’t remember this at all….
