That’s right, Calvin, mark your territory.

Or Hobbes becomes best friends with Uncle Max and completely forgets about Calvin.

Not having your kid strapped into a legal car seat is a felony.

I read Calvin and Hobbes from the beginning in out local newspaper and I seem to recall Calvin’s uncle was a cool guy. We shall see if I am correct.

I was wondering if this would come up in this arc. I’m with Calvin. I hope Mom and Dad don’t plan on Uncle Max using his room.

How old is this strip? I see a Boeing 727 taking off; they’ve been gone for decades.

And so we enter the labyrinth of overpasses, on-ramps and lanes in hopes of finding the correct terminal…

Did anyone notice in panels 2 and 3 he is seated behind Dad, but in panel 4 he is leaning in as if behind Mom? Interesting since he has his seat belt on.

For sister and I we grew up in only 2 bedrooms home, when our grandma came to visit we had a sleeper sofa we have to pull out for a bed, we just knew had to sleep there and gave up our bed. Even when our grandpa came to visit we have to give up our bedroom for sleeper sofa in the living room.

C’mon, Calvin—play your cards right and Uncle Max will be “that” uncle—the one who takes you to movies Mom and Dad won’t let you see, buys you that one extra candy bar, teaches you all sorts of interesting bodily noises to embarrass your parents…and when you get old enough to appreciate girls……

So Uncle Max lives abroad?

Wonder if he was a drug smuggler.
