Nancy: What a lazy cat.

Nancy: Never hunts mice like other cats.

Nancy: Will he be surprised when he wakes up.

I could preach a sermon about the parallels between a young child and a box of molding clay. Both are unshaped and unformed and are molded by outside forces into creations mirroring the hand and mind of their creator. Both are only moldable for a certain amount of time before they harden into the shape they have been given by that outside influence. Both left untended shall remain formless and void of purpose, properly molded; however, both become useful vessels, works of art, of great value to both the molder and the user. There is an old hymn that goes,“Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way Thou art the Potter I am the clay mold me and make me after Thy will while I am waiting yielded and still.” There is a Bible verse that states," Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he shall not depart from it."[Proverbs 22:6] Oops, I started this saying I COULD preach a sermon…sorry, I’m afraid I just might have done so. ;-)
Well cats do protect us from the Old Ones who would steal our souls and our sanity. The cat has a soul too and uses it for a weapon and their scratch might be fatal to them.
