That DOA bird won’t fly.

Part of the problem is that, in spite of warning from the founders, we have allowed money in politics and the average member of congress IS a multimillionaire unaffected by the wealth inequity that the working class is all too familiar with.

Varvel could also have depicted a platter of ‘road kill’ or a stuffed ‘bird of paradise’ ( for #45 and his family ).

A total misnomer to call it a “tax reform bill”. It should be called a criminal bill against the people for the 1%.

Where are all the so-called ‘conservatives’?

That turkey about to be cooked should be labelled “middle class taxpayers”.

Mitch was ready for Thanksgiving, and living off the fat of the poor people’s health. But Ryan served it up cold, and we all know how much McConnell can get done… Looks like they aren’t going to give the rich a big fat Christmas bonus after all.

As reforms go, it’s a turkey.

It’s certainly possible the turkey will get cooked and served. However there is no presidential leadership to twist arms and cut deals, so it’s unlikely that a bill will be passed, reconciled and signed. It’s pretty ironic that the Senate will be the chamber representing the interests of the people because it cannot be gerrymandered.

Where there is no vision, the people perish.
