    There’s a new Washington apple variety that’s supposed to be in full distribution this year..and I can’t remember it’s name.

    It’s a strange thing. I like golden delicious, my wife likes gala, one grandson like ambrosia, and the other like red delicious. Actually, my wife like most kinds. Gala is just her favorite.

    While the USDA strictly regulates the use of the term organic in reference to food products, the agency itself does not make any claims that organic foods are healthier or safer than foods that do not carry this label.

    My favorites are Fuji’s. They stay crisp a long time. I get a 1/2 bushel in October and they stay good until they’re gone.
