So you think it should be easy for people to vote! What do you think this is a representational democracy? The oligarchs will have none of that. Back to work minion until we are finished with you.
Obstacles to physically reaching the polls are one tactic. Long lines once you arrive are another. Limited numbers of ballots are a 3rd. Photo-ID requirements yet another. Arbitrary purges of voter rolls still another.
That doesn’t even touch on the major voter-suppression efforts, such as gerrymandering and the new Jim Crow. And who really programs those electronic voting machines that don’t have voter-marked paper ballots as auditable backups?
This is where we cue the right-wingers to sputter “but, but, but, but the Democrats did it, too”, as if your kid’s sand castle on the beach is comparable to Mount Rushmore.
And be aware that in most Republican states they have re-instituted the “poll tax”, that old stand-by from the ‘Jim Crow’ days. They require a “photo I.D.” to vote and, by-and-large, the cost of that I.D. is substantial for a poor person! A ‘poll tax’ by any other name is STILL a ‘poll tax’.

REPUGNANTANS’ WINS {Rhyme and Example}
Of Repugnantans’ wins
there’s a long succession.
It often begins
with voter suppression.
And the Koch Brothers’ friends
in legislative session
play even MORE tricks,
the elections to fix.
… Example:
To the Rightwing they’re pandering
with gross gerrymandering.

Republicans cheat, lie and steal in every possible way.

It is the only way the Republicans can stay in power. So get out and vote, and help others. Get registered, make sure everyone has a chance to vote.
